Betty received her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Roanoke College, Salem, VA. She also earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from Radford University, Radford, VA. She taught children with Learning Disabilities in Roanoke, VA.

The original sketches require approximately 25 - 30 hours to complete. Original art is scanned and printed using a high resolution professional printing process. The final printing resembles the sharp contrast of pen and ink drawings.
