Down East Canvas and Gallery is the newest gallery in Oriental, situated at the foot of the bridge. Originally it was the home of Down East Canvas Ltd., fabricators of fine marine products and now presents the works of regional artists and craftspeople, as well as the canvas items it has become famous for during the last 29 years.  An ever-changing representation of local art, the gallery is open for your pleasure Tuesday through Saturday from 10am -5pm.  Please contact Elizabeth Harris at the gallery at 249-1004 or 675-9343.
